This is the Milford Highway in New Zealand on a cold morning. It was taken while travelling out of Fiordland. After many days of perfect whether, when we finished exploring the natural attractions, the biggest snow storm in 50 years hit the southern island. This was the day before, and the first weather we had that was not clear blue skies. We drove into this area with a long straight road in the middle of a flat glacial valley, and I had to stop immediately.
